DetailsSkovby of Denmark is world renowned for its innovative, functional dining room furnishings, excellent craftsmanship, and commitment to sustainability. A Danish family business since 1933, Skovby remains dedicated to its driving design principle of functionality paired with a clean, strong aesthetic foundation, and has been a frontrunner within the furniture industry for the development of new table extension mechanisms.
As a member of the Danish Furniture Makers’ Quality Control association, Skovby rigorously ensures the quality of all its component parts, including wood, lacquer, springs, foam, upholstery covers, and more. Skovby only sources its wood from sustainably managed forests, and converts all wood cuttings and shavings into energy to power its production and manufacturing center. What’s more, Skovby’s dedication to accountability and responsibility is also reflected through its long-term investment in its employees, many of whom are celebrating 25- and 40-year anniversaries as Skovby itself turns 91 in 2024!
