In 1983, Humanscale was founded by Bob King in New York. Over the decades, the company’s most influential product designer has been Niels Diffrient, widely regarded as the father of ergonomics.

“Niels revolutionized the world of design by focusing on human experience and creating products that enhanced the human condition,” explains Heather Fennimore, President and Co-Founder of Humanscale. “He was one of the last living 20th-century modernists, alongside Charles Eames and Florence Knoll.”

Humanscale chairs are intuitively adjustable for a wide range of body types and seating preferences.
